The History of Wrong Guys
The final show on Sunday (May 27), like the two performances before then -- on Friday and Saturday nights -- showed they both deserved a standing ovation for their work as excellent and amazing singers, actors and comedians.
Comedy and drama both were captured in each piece […], although there were a few songs that were extremely moving. McQueen’s performance of I’m Breaking Down, […] was among the high points for her dramatic presentation, which was also comedic. […] Cali perform[ed] just as amazingly as the supporting actor and singer, including his solos.
McQueen and Cali both also glided across the stage, danced across the stage, frolicked across the stage, and at one point McQueen literally dragged Cali across the stage taking a couple of rest stops for excellent line delivery and finally asking him if he could make the rest of the way off the stage on his own – which he could, and did. — Jeff Hardison
